Hey Bud, John Hege has been doing youth ministry for 24 year, and in Alaska for 17 years.  He has served in Shaktoolik as a pastor working with the youth and now as the Director of the Campus Christian Fellowship ministry.  He also serves as the Associate Pastor at Community Covenant Church of Fairbanks.  He and his wife, Wendy, have 4 children.

Jason and Sara Battiest moved from Bethel in 2005 to become the house parents of the CYAK house.  Jason and Sara had been doing college ministry in Bethel and have a heart for serving rural students.  Sara also went through the CCF program while she was in college at UAF, so they were a natural fit.  Levi, their only child, was born on June 26, 2009.  With the birth of their first, they plan on taking a break from the CYAK house this upcoming school year to focus on their new family.
